" The Wardens of Calvary Episcopal Church and Trinity Parish in Bergen Point have agreed to come together with a liaison from the Diocese of Newark to begin duscussions on working together possibly as one congregation. The first item agreed upon mutually is to have Fr. Gregory Perez provide a service for Calvary Church beginning Sunday, July 4th at 11:00 AM. The Vestry of Trinity Parish in Bergen Point has agreed to move their Sunday service for the months of July, August, and September to 9:00 AM in order to accomodate Fr. Greg's schedule. Through the support of the Diocesan liaison, the two groups will continue meeting to duscuss the future of the two congregations."
The Scripture readings that we use in worship are from the "Consultation on Common Texts" that include the Complete List of Lections for Year A, B, and C. The CCT originated in the mid-1960s among over 30 branches of the Christian churches in the United States. Some of them are: The Episcopal Church, Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Presbyterian Church U.S.A., Reformed Church in America, Roman Catholic Church in the United States, United Methodist Church - and many others.
