The Rev'd Gregory G. Perez

Former Rector

Father Greg has served Trinity Parish since 2007. He attended St. Meinrad School of Theology, a four-year major seminary operated by the Benedictine Monks of St. Meinrad Archabbey in Indiana. He was ordained a priest on July 19, 1986. Formally, a Roman Catholic priest, Father Gregory was received into the Anglican Communion in 2000, and moved to New Jersey in the summer of 2003 with his spouse, Douglas Flores, and their two chocolate Cocker Spaniels, Willie Wonka and Charlie Bucket.

In 2005, The Rt. Reverend John Croneberger received Greg’s Holy Orders into the Episcopal Church.  Father Greg first served as Curate of Grace Church Van Vorst in Jersey City.  At Trinity, he has served as Assisting Priest (2007) and later Priest in Charge (2009) at Trinity. In 2011, he was called to be Rector, and will serve in that capacity until the end of August 2020.

On Tuesday, July 7, 2020, The Reverend Gregory Gerard Perez recieved and officially accepted a call to serve as Priest-in Charge of St. Stephen's Memorial Episcopal Church in Lynn, MA, begginning September 2020.

Father Greg also previously served as the President/CEO of the Windmill Alliance, our outreach program which provides services to developmentally disabled adults and to others at the margins of society.
